A Chapel within the Fosse Trinity Benefice
Alhampton Chapel is part of the Fosse Trinity Benefice and comes under the auspices of St. Mary Magdalene Church in the neighbouring village of Ditcheat.
The Chapel is one of the original “Tin Tabernacles” built from kit form following the Industrial Revolution. It was built in 1892 at a cost of £250. It seats 55 people and continues in active use.
A service is held here on the last Sunday of each month at 9:30 am as well as on Christmas Day. Special services may also be held here.
The Chapel is unlocked and open for visitors each day.
Traditional Sunday Services
Alhampton Chapel is part of the Fosse Trinity Benefice along with Ditcheat, East Pennard and Pylle churches.
We hold a communion service at the Chapel on the fourth Sunday of every month at 9:30am, followed by coffee.
(Please note that parking is difficult but cars can be left outside the Alhampton Inn, 5 minutes walk away).
There are occasional variations and additional services so for current monthly schedules and details of services at the other churches in the Benefice, please go to the Services page.
We would love to see you at our next service.
